About Yusuf
Yusuf Dalbudak writes at the intersection of cybersecurity, technology and independent research. His work focuses on making complex technical subjects clear, useful and grounded in real operational context, while also exploring history, books and mechanical watches.
My Background
My professional work is centred on cybersecurity pre-sales, technical analysis and enterprise technology. I spend much of my time working with monitoring, observability, vulnerability research and security technologies, translating technical complexity into practical guidance for real-world environments.
This publication is where I develop those ideas further, alongside longer-form writing on history, books, horology and the subjects that continue to hold my attention beyond day-to-day technical work.
Security conversations, explained with technical clarity.
Technical subjects, written with context.
I am interested in more than what a technology does. I want to understand how it behaves in practice, where it fails, what it reveals and why it matters.
That same approach shapes my writing beyond cybersecurity: careful observation, primary sources where possible, and a preference for substance over noise.
Cybersecurity
Vulnerability analysis, security engineering and operational perspectives.
Technology
Monitoring, observability, telemetry and the systems behind modern infrastructure.
History & Books
Notes on historical subjects, sources, ideas and books worth returning to.
Horology
Mechanical watches considered through engineering, design and ownership.
